Joe was bought by Kelly in the fall of 2014 from Bob Van Eaton as a leader for Dayton for his first year of driving. He was purchased in 2018 by the Dreger Racing Team and has now moved down the family tree to Tuff's outfit on the right lead. Joe is a been there done that kind of horse and is very kind natured. He was born in 2001 with the registered name of Galpin Joe. Often others will see him as a fairly timid horse, but when he sees the harness come out he gets some fire in his belly and is ready to race.
